I love the lighting and feel of this piece, but I think the outside photo ruins a lot, I think a simple sky or even just warm white light would have been enough.

As I was developing the scene my plan was to make a 'Classic Artist's Son' but the laptop I was using at the time didn't let me add any finer details or any reflections or anything, because that would cause considerable lag in rendering. So it turned out to be a 'Comic Artist's Son'. If you take a look at it, you can hardly see any reflection/refraction/glossy effect etc. May be I will re-render it in future, I got a new computer now :)

aha got it, but the image outside is only thing I would change, cause I think those other tweaks are less important than the view outside which really stands out. Anyhow nice work! can't wait to see it re-rendered.
